There was singing, dancing, and almost fainting.

Alright. Time to update my blog!

There's been some fun stuff going on lately so I'll tell you everything I can.

This past Friday and Saturday, Disney filmed the Christmas Parade and performances. I only had the chance to go to Friday's filming but it was still nice. I got to put on my new Mickey Christmas shirt and my Minnie santa hat. Florida, Texas guy, my Texas roomie and her co-worker New Zealand all went to watch the show. When we got there, we were led to the stage for the performances. The first singer was Cee Lo Green. (I'm not sure how many of you will know who he is but he's the guy from Gnarls Barkley. Also the guy from the Sprite commercial with the beat-boxing baby) Anyway, we watched him perform and enjoyed as much as we could. However, there was a huge girl that must have been at least 6 feet tall standing right in front of me so there was no view for me....

After that, they said the next performer would be out at 1:30. That got a lot of people to leave. We scooted up but I started to feel a little dizzy. I knelt down so I wouldn't stumble. However, every time I stood up, I would get dizzy again and my vision would get a little white. Like the light was all I could see. So finally, I decided that I needed some space. By this time, Texas guy had left and it was just us four girls. Anyway, by the time I decided to work my way through the crowd, my vision had gone completely white. I couldn't see a single thing and I was very weak on my feet. A stranger (whose face I never got to see) offered me some help and led me through the crowd. They found another cast member to watch over me and get me some water. After sitting down for some time, my vision came back and the water helped me regain a composed feeling. I took off my hat and let the breeze cool me down. I had almost fainted. I think it was from a lack of water and a good amount of heat from the sun and the crowd that surrounded me.

Either way, I took some time in the back of the audience and cooled off, feeling much better. Jennifer Hudson was the final performer and she was great! She wore a beautiful dress and sang beautiful songs. After that, Texas and New Zealand had to leave. Florida and I stayed and got something to eat. We then wandered the park a little, picking up some of the last presents we needed. That was really all of the excitement we had from that day.

Then on Monday, the College Program held a Winter Formal for all of the college kids! It was a jungle theme and so the characters from the jungle were all there. We met Timon, Rafiki, and the three hyenas from Lion King. We also met Baloo, Mowgli, and King Louie from the Jungle. Terk, Jane, and Tarzan were there as well. Safari Minne and Mickey were the biggest crowd pleasers though. Minnesota, her man, Florida, and I all went together. There are pictures on Facebook for those who want to see. There wasn't much dancing done but that's cause I didn't really have anyone to dance with. Besides not going out on the dance floor, the night was full of laughter, good company, and lots of fun!

I have less than a month until this part of the program is over and I start my extension portion. So we'll see what adventures happen before the change over. This blog will continue from one portion to the next so the stories will continue.

There was a turkey day!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! It's a wonderful day to spend with family, sharing a meal and memories.

I wish I could have spent the day with my family but I am spending it with my Disney family. I got up this morning and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, texting my mother the entire time so we could talk about what we liked and didn't like. I loved watching all of the performances from the Broadway shows and the Radio City Rockettes. Those are always my favorite parts.

Sadly, Florida and Minnesota were both working this morning so they didn't get to see it. And Texas woke up towards the end of the parade so she got to see the last bit. At least she got to see Santa finish the parade.

After that, I got to watch a little bit of the National Dog Show, looking at the dogs and texting my best friend Vegas. We were joking around about what dogs we would like to have as pets. In that department, we are fairly different. She wants a bigger dog and I would like a smaller dog. Oh well... If we ever live together and get a dog, we'll figure it out in time.

So I had to work today so I went into work at 2:00. It wasn't bad at all because I was working on register, getting to interact with guests and ask them about their days. I spent my time enjoying work and then I got to come home. It was a fairly simple day at work. Now I just have to rest some because I have work in the morning. It's been a while since I've worked a morning shift so we'll see how that goes. Let's hope for the best!

Well, that's all I really have to say. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and now, it's time to get in the Christmas spirit! Woohoo!

There were decorations and holiday music!

So I'm back again to blog!

It's getting close to the holidays and my apartment has begun to decorate for Christmas! It's so much fun because Florida's family brought us a fake tree that we're going to decorate with our own styles. We all have decorations that describe us.

Florida has cool ornaments with the colors of a peacock because she likes them.
Texas got some red and gold Mickey ornaments with some special ones with Tinkerbell since she's her favorite.
Minnesota is supplying the yummy candy canes for our edible ornaments cause she's super sweet.
I have some ornaments in pink, purple, and white, with two dancer ornaments and a ice-skating Snoopy.

It's going to be quite a pretty tree and I'm so excited for the holiday seasons.

My schedule isn't too bad lately so I'm just having to take it one day at a time so I don't get too frazzled. Either way, I have news!

I applied for an extension of my college program. I really wanted to go into the entertainment department. When I got the results of my extension, I (sadly) was not given the entertainment department like I wanted. However, I did get an extension in Merchandise. Two of my roomies work merchandise and they really enjoy it. I'm about 90% sure that I'm going to accept it but I've been letting it settle into my mind for a while before I officially accept.

When (If) I accept, I will be staying here until the 11th of May. I'll get more time in Disney World and get to experience a new job that could help me discover myself some more. I'm hoping to find my way by the time I'm done so maybe then I'll know where I'm meant to be and what I'm meant to do.

Well, I hope everyone has a great holiday time and I will be back with more info and updates on my life!

There was a struggle and an intermission.

Hello everyone.

I know it's been quite a long time since I've posted anything and I am sorry.

There has been a lot of stuff going on and by a lot of stuff, I mean that I have been very tired from work and just haven't been motivated to post anything.

Things with the new roomie are great. She's really sweet and funny.

So Florida is doing well, Texas is doing well, Minnesota and Minnesota's boyfriend are both doing well. And I am also doing well.

I have been going through some hard emotional times but it's just because of uncertainty in life. However, I have wonderful friends and family that keep me going. I have different options for my life so now I just have to wait and see what is going to happen.

I know this isn't much of a post but I can't really think back to the different stories that should be told in the past month. I will do my best to start posting regularly but for now, just know that work has been tough, life has been a little stressed, but I am having fun and loving my friends and family.

There was a party and a wonderful mother!

Hello everyone!

Last night, my group got together and we went to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween! It was super fun! We all had pretty neat costumes and had loads of fun. There was a parade, a stage show with the villains, trick-or-treating around the park and lots of characters around to meet.

We started the night by going to a comedy show by the characters from Monsters, Inc. It was so funny! I loved it and recommend it to anyone that ever visits Walt Disney World. After that, we went to meet some of the princesses. And they had their princes with them! I got to meet Cinderella and her Prince Charming, Snow White and her Prince Charming, and Rapunzel and Flynn Rider!!! He was very dashing and Rapunzel commented on my pointe shoes! She asked if I would come to her dance class on Friday. I wish she was serious because I would love to go to a ballet class with Rapunzel.

Anyway, after that, we walked around and began to figure out what else we wanted to do for the night. A few people got food and then we saw the HallowWishes Fireworks Spectacular. After that, I went to meet Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip! I have been dying to meet him so I got a few pictures with just him before adding in Princess Aurora. She was very nice about me having a crush on him.

After meeting my royal crush, we caught the Villains show on the Castle stage. We even got some pictures of Minnesota with her twin, Cruella De Vil. It was so funny to see two Cruellas next to each other, especially since Minnesota's boyfriend was dressed as a dalmatian. After that, we moved to a different area to watch the Boo To You Parade.

By the time that parade was over, we started some Trick-Or-Treating but my legs were aching and I had work early the next day. Florida worked an evening, Minnesota and her boyfriend had today off, Texas didn't get to come with us because of work, and my other two friends didn't have work early or at all. But either way, I had the earliest work time out of all of us to be up so I needed some sleep. We split up into those that wanted to head home and those that would stay. Once home, I changed, wiped my make-up off, and passed out.

And so far, today has been a bit of a normal day.. I dealt with some emotions but its just one of those days and I'm over it.

Now, I would like to do something for a special lady.

Today is my mother's birthday and for some reason, it's pretty tough to be away from her this year on her birthday. I miss her a lot and hope she has a great birthday. I couldn't ask for a better mother and love her sooo much! She's done so much for me and I hope my flowers and present can show her just a fraction of how much I love and appreciate her. She's such a strong woman and I love talking to her. I may be an Oklahoma Princess but my mother is the Queen! She will always be the best woman in my life and I hope that she has a great day. Smile, mom! I love you x1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000!!!!!!!!!

There was a new character.

So we have met our new roommate and she is very neat.

I am going to be calling her Minnesota. She works over in EPCOT with Team Possible, the Kim Possible scavenger hunt. She moved out of her old apartment because the girls there were more like villains than princesses. She couldn't live in an evil lair so she moved over to our palace.

When I got home from work on Sunday, her things had been moved in but she had already left for work so I was left in anticipation all day! Her stuff looked pretty neat and I was very excited about meeting her. When she finally got home, we all decided to sit around and chat to get to know each other better. Florida had been here when she moved in and had talked with her some but Texas and I had been at work that morning so we had to wait until that evening to meet her.

She's very funny, nice, smart, and has unique quirks like the rest of us. She also brought some board games for us to play! We're so excited.

Yesterday, Florida and I had the day off so we went out in the morning to run some errands. We got my bangs trimmed, picked up a costume at Wilderness Lodge for Florida (she's work two days at the Wilderness Lodge merchandise store), and ran to Walmart to get some supplies and find Florida a costume for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party! We've got a big group going! It's going to be so much fun!

After our errands, we grabbed some Steak And Shake for lunch and went home. Then we got a hold of Minnesota's boyfriend, who I will call Minnesota man. He had the day off and so did one of his roommates. So then we decided to go to EPCOT and bother our new roomie. We got there and wondered around some, finding Minnesota at one of the tents for the Kim Possible game. Florida, Texas, and I are apparently somewhat famous among her co-workers as being the new roomies that are much better than her villainous ones. So after she had to move locations, we went and rode some rides and wondered the World Showcase. It was raining somewhat and we got drenched. It was a fun day but it would have been better without the rain.

So after we had run out of things to do, Florida, Minnesota man's Louisiana roommate, and myself decided to go home. We got home, dropped off Louisiana, went to our apartment, put on our pajamas and watched some TV. Then Minnesota and her man came home and we hung out for a while before everyone got tired and decided that it was bedtime.

And today is going to be a fun day! It's the night we get to go to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween!! We're all dressing up and it's a totally random group of costumes. We've got Cleopatra, Cinderella, a ballerina, Cruella De Vil, and the two guys going with us are still unsure but we'll figure something out for them. You can't go to a Halloween party at Disney without getting dressed up! I think one of them plans to be Thor and the other one is still unsure. He might be the Beast after his transformation back into a human.... I'll let everyone know what happened soon.

So we're all gathering at the apartment around 4 to start getting ready and then it's Halloween party time! And yes, we know it's not Halloween yet but we got cast member discounts for the month of September so we're doing it anyway. Besides, it makes the holiday last longer!

Alright. I'll let everyone know how things went! Love you all!!

There was a plot twist!

Hi everyone. So it's been almost a week and a half since my last update and I have some stuff to report. Alright. So since my last update, a few new things have happened and I hope I can remember them all.

So, after my last post, the next few days were pretty normal with just work and relaxing afterwards. I'd come home, see who wasn't at work or had already finished work. I'd change out of my uniform, put on my pjs, sit in the living room, and just relax until it was time to start prepping for bed. I've been talking with my Bestest Friend Ever (I'm gonna call her Vegas (And yes, I know that it should be a state to match the rest of my pattern but she's special! She's so special I put parentheses inside parenthesis!)).  But yeah, Vegas and I have been chatting and missing each other very much! Now I love it when 7:30 rolls around and she gets home from her job so we can chat.

So yeah, I've been talking to Vegas a lot more recently and the days haven't been too strange. Then Tuesday rolled around. Florida and I both had the day off and we were both soooo excited because it was the Season 9 Premiere of NCIS!! Woohoo!! Her and I are both very excited for that show and made that our major plan for the whole day.

Then Wednesday came and Florida and I both had the day off again. We had made plans to go out with another Florida girl and two Texas boys to have fun in the parks. We decided to start off in Disney's Hollywood Studios, riding the Rockin' Roller Coaster twice in a row, before moving on to Tower of Terror then the Great Movie Ride before finishing the day with the Indiana Jones stunt show, Star Tours, and Toy Story Mania! After that, we were all starving so we piled back in the car and drove to Cici's for some pizza. One of the Texas boys left after that to go hang out with some other friends while the four of us left went to the Magic Kingdom.

Once we got there, we went to meet Mickey Mouse before wandering the park. We rode Splash Mountain and then the Haunted Mansion ride. As it started to get dark, we went to stake out a spot for the Electrical Parade. We sat down in a super good spot and chatted while we waited. The parade was wonderful! I just loved it. I can't wait to do that someday! After that, we moved down Main Street to get a good spot for the evening fireworks. I had never seen Wishes before so I was super excited. It was even more beautiful than I had imagined. Once that was done, we went home. Florida and I stayed up and watched Singin' In The Rain before both heading to sleep.

After that, things were looking pretty normal... until yesterday.

There were some events that happened that should mostly be kept between those involved but don't worry. Nothing dangerous, illegal, or frightening happened. I'm just going to say that South Carolina has gone home after some stressful times and I wish her the best of luck and love her dearly. She will be greatly missed by all three of us in the apartment.

Tomorrow, we get to meet our new roommate so I'm excited/nervous about that but from what I've heard, she is a pretty cool person. I just hope we get along really well.

I have one more day of work before I have two days off and one of those days, I'm going to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween with Florida! Woohoo! I get to dress up and go to the parks in costume! I am so pumped! I'll let you all know how that goes.

Thanks for reading!

There was a journey to another world.

Okay. So it's been a few days and a lot has happened since then.

First, on Saturday, I got the day off because of work having too many people scheduled so it was nice to have the day off and sleep in. It was weird though because I had two days off on Wednesday and Thursday, worked Friday, had Saturday off, worked Sunday, and then had Monday and Tuesday off. It was a weird feeling to work two days in the chunk of 7 days. But either way, I went out to the Premium Outlets with Florida and South Carolina. We walked around the shops and I bought a few things, having fun. Then we went to the Betsey Johnson store. I was in love the moment I walked in the door. There was this beautiful teal and black striped dress with a chunky belt and necklace. It was beautiful and I wanted it so bad!

However, looking on the price tag, I was knocked back to reality when I saw that it was $258 dollars for just the dress. I hesitated and refrained myself. We drove home and I kept thinking of that dress. So while I put some checks in the bank, I called my mom and she told me to go back and at least try it on. I went back and tried it on. It was so wonderful and pretty! Then my day got soooo much better! I found out that it was on sale for $129! My mom had offered to buy me the dress for my "Gotcha" Day so when I told her, she was all for it. I even got a belt, earrings, and a necklace. I was so happy! It was a wonderful day for me.

The day was not so nice for me... I cracked the screen on my iPhone 3GS. I tripped at work and it hit the stone floor. It was terrible. My phone still worked but I felt terrible the rest of the day. Every time I looked at it, I was reminded of my moment of failure. If you added all the time together, I cried at work for like an hour...

But moving on from that sad day... The next day, Florida and I went to Universal Studios! We went to Harry Potter Land and had lots of fun! The waits were only like 5 minutes, if not shorter. We rode the Dueling Dragons twice in a row because there were two different tracks so we rode each one at least one time. Then we moved to the other rides, very excited about the Forbidden Journey ride. It was fantastic. After that, we went through Jurassic Park, Lost Continent (a Greek themed section), and the Marvel section of Islands of Adventure. We had lunch at Captain America's Diner and I actually met Captain America. (No, not Chris Evans. It was just a guy dressed as Captain America. I wish it had been Chris Evans though.)

Anyway, after that we actually went to the Universal Studios part and we rode the Revenge of the Mummy. It was awesome. We also did a Disaster ride, Jaws ride, and a Men In Black ride. Then we rode the Mummy again cause it was so wonderful! After that, we returned to Islands of Adventure and rode some more rides over again. We rode quite a few rides at least twice. It was a pretty good time. Florida and I also enjoyed a very delicious taste at Butterbeer, which is basically cream soda with whipped cream on top. It's super yummy.

By the time Florida and I returned home, we were exhausted but the day was a huge success in our opinions.

The next day was a recovery day from the day before. Florida and I both had sore throats because of all the screaming we did on roller coasters at Universal. At the end of the day, I drove to a nearby Best Buy and was able to use an upgrade to replace my busted iPhone for a new, white iPhone 4! I also got a purple Otter box to protect it from harm in the future. However, I'm going to be super careful now because I never want to deal with that ordeal ever again.

And today was no big deal. Just work and then rest around the apartment. Just chilling out and watching Deadliest Warrior with Florida. She's my TV-watching buddy.

But that's my big update for now. I will probably write again in the next few days. See ya!

There was a celebration!

I'm now 22!! Wednesday was my birthday and I had such a fun day.

All of my roomies had the morning off so we decided to go to lunch before two of them had to leave for work. We had gotten quite a large amount of coupons in the mail and from those, I found this really good-looking Mexican restaurant that wasn't too far away. We all got dressed and got in my car, taking off for some good lunch. We found it pretty easily and had a great lunch. South Carolina told them it was my birthday so they brought out the big hat and sang happy birthday to me. The dessert was so yummy so I didn't mind wearing a big hat for a minute or two.

After that, we drove around some to just adventure along International Drive some. Everything seems to be on or connected to International so we figured that we should take some time to check it out more. We found some pretty neat stuff.

When we finished with that, we returned to the apartment and just kinda relaxed for a bit before South Carolina and Florida had to go to work. Then I got a call from a friend to go see a movie, so I did. We went and saw the Smurfs movie, which is really cute in my opinion. If you ever liked the Smurfs TV show, I think you would enjoy. You'd also like it if you are a Neil Patrick Harris fan.

So all together, I had a great birthday. Spent time with my roomies, got lots of movies for my birthday (thanks family!), and had fun doing whatever. I also got myself a birthday present by buying the Sims Medieval expansion pack for Pirates and Nobles. It'll be fun times.

The next day was audition day. Florida, Texas, and I all got up early and got into some comfy clothes. We did our hair and make-up before jumping into the car and heading to the audition for Female Face Characters. There were so many people there!!

There were 542 people there and that's just a guess on an exact number. I'm not totally sure but it was a lot of people. The auditions technically started at 9:00 but we didn't even get to the front of the line to get measured and receive our numbers until like 10:30. The audition was done in groups of 50 and only one or two people were picked out of each group. I was number 469 and when I went in, I was so nervous.

I would love to tell you that I was picked and made into the princess I always wanted to be... but today wasn't my day. I wasn't picked. However, South Carolina was and I am so excited! True, I'm a little jealous but that's just natural. Doesn't mean anything except that this is something I truly want... Which helps make my desires concrete in my heart. I won't stop til I'm in entertainment and doing what I love.

So for the rest of the day, I mostly just chilled, went to the gym for an hour, and then returned to the apartment for dinner and more chill time. Right now, I'm struggling to stay awake. I think I'm going to rinse the chlorine out of my hair and go to bed. I've got work tomorrow.

Love you all!!

There was a yucky bug.

So today, this Oklahoma princess was ill... with a yucky bug in my stomach.

I woke up at 7:30 to get ready for work. However, when I sat up, my stomach twisted and I felt like I was going to be totally sick. I went to the restroom to see if I would get better once I moved around but sadly, that didn't work. Since I work in a food place, I knew that it would be bad for me and the resort guests if I went to work sick. So I decided to call in sick for the day and try to get better by tomorrow.

I called all four of my managers and left a message for two of them so I'm a little concerned. Either way, I get a point on my record for not going to work but I will take a point to make sure that no guests get sick. I'd prefer to get sick at home than at work and risk infecting a guest or co-worker. So after I called in at 7:30-ish, I grabbed my pillow, my stuffed animal, and two blankets before curling up on the living room couch. I bundled up and fell asleep. Florida went to work and then around 9:00, South Carolina got up and asked if I wanted anything. She was such a sweetheart and got some 7-Up for me to settle my tummy.

I slept until about noon and when I woke up, I felt more settled in my stomach but sitting up wasn't very comfortable until I had something to sip on. I made some ramen noodles to eat and stayed curled up in my blankets. I was so cold but felt better. As the day went along, I got to feel better but was still a little cold but that's because I get cold easily.

So I've had a little bit of a battle with a stomach bug but I've dealt with it. I'm feeling much better and plan on heading into work tomorrow. I've got two days until my birthday! 22 years old! And the day after that, I've got an audition at Disney for characters so let's hope for the best.

Anyway, I'll post again on Wednesday or Thursday to let everyone know what's been going on.

There was a beautiful jungle and a tall mountain

Day off #2, spent in the Animal Kingdom.

Florida and I decided to go on an adventure to the Animal Kingdom. South Carolina had to work and Texas was feeling under the weather. So Florida and I arrived at Animal Kingdom around 1:00 pm. We got something to eat because it was starting to rain. We sat out the rain while enjoying our yummy meals. When we were done, we went to Dinoland and rode the Dinosaur ride. I was so scared! Big dinosaurs coming at me with huge teeth and open mouths? Heck no! Being eaten is not on my to-do list!

So after that, we went to ride Expedition Everest (one of my favorite rides on Disney property). However, because of thunder, they had it closed down for a bit to make sure nothing terrible would happen. So while we waited for that to clear up, we went across the park and got on one of the safaris. We got to see some awesome animals like giraffes, lions, hippos, and elephants.

When we finished the safari, we headed back to Everest to see if it was working. We hadn't heard any thunder for a while so we hoped the ride would be operational. We saw the wait was only ten minutes so we rushed inside, going through the line with almost no stopping until the last part. We got on and were put in the back of the car. We rode it and for some reason, it was more intense than I remembered it. When we got off and saw that the wait was still only ten minutes, we jumped right back in line and rode it again! We loved it that much! It was a blast! My heart was pounding so much and I loved it.

Texas had told us about the Festival of the Lion King so we decided to check it out. We were walking towards the show area when we ended up getting stuck behind the ropes of a parade. We stayed to watch and I was shocked to find out that one of the girls on stilts was a friend from my college! She had been a senior my freshman year! She was my Oklahoma sister in the dance department. I was so excited and couldn't believe the wild coincidence. She didn't hear me calling her but I texted her when I got back to the apartment and was so happy!

Anyway, we saw the Festival of the Lion King and it was phenomenal! There were dancers, stilt-walkers, acrobats, singers, and everything under the sun! It was absolutely mind-blowing. I love it so much. If anyone comes to Disney, they need to see it.

After that, Florida and I went home to rest and make dinner for us. The day in the parks had been very exhausting. We decided to watch Tarzan while eating and invited a friend over to watch. He arrived with cookie dough and we finished Tarzan. After he tried to borrow like a third of my movie collection (he then narrowed it down to just a few movies), we put in Oceans Twelve because I have only seen Oceans Eleven. After this movie, I'll probably hop in the shower before heading to bed. I've got a morning shift tomorrow and will need my sleep.

I'll keep things updated on my days off or on days when I have the time and energy to actually post something.

There were delicious sweets!

So today is one of my two days off and I'm enjoying it so much. It's a day where I can stay in my pajamas as long as I want, curling up with my Stephens College hoodie blanket and watch TV.

Luckily, I'm not alone today. Florida has the day off as well so she's been my lounging buddy today. We've watched all of Armageddon, caught the last bit of X-2, and then channeled surfed for a while before settling on different things. She's been working on her online classes for school. I admire her for her dedication. I would not be that focused on an online class. I dunno. I think I would prefer to work on stuff by actually writing it but I'm not even sure. I just don't think I would do well with online classes.

Anyway, while South Carolina and Texas were at work, Florida and I have just been watching TV and playing on our computers, making fun commentary on shows and stuff. We made a pizza for dinner, moving all of the pepperoni to Florida's half because I'm just not a fan of pepperoni. I had a caesar salad kit so I made that to go with the pizza. We enjoyed our dinner while watching TV. Then, we decided to enjoy some dessert.

A few days ago, South Carolina, Florida, and I went to Epcot for dinner. Texas had early work the next day so she hadn't been able to join us. We went to Japan for dinner and stayed for the Illuminations fireworks show (which is phenomenal, by the way). After Illuminations, we wanted something sweet but were still pretty full. We went to the Boardwalk and found the bakery. South Carolina got a sugar-free cheesecake while Florida and I both got a piece of this beautiful creation that was cheesecake on top of a brownie. Super sweet and delicious... I had one bite that night and ate half of it tonight. I don't know when I'll be able to finish it because it's so rich but no matter how long, I'll enjoy every bite.

I have tomorrow off as well so I'm not sure what adventures I'll have tomorrow. I think we might try to go to one of the parks. We haven't gotten to go to Animal Kingdom yet so maybe we'll go there. It depends on when we all wake up and how much energy we have to go out there. I have a feeling that we'll probably do something tomorrow, whether its Animal Kingdom or maybe just roaming Downtown Disney while South Carolina goes to work. Texas, Florida, and I all have tomorrow off so it'll be fun.

I think my posts will mostly fall on my days off because I'm usually pretty busy or tired on days that I work. If I do have time or something big happens, I'll make sure to post it. No worries. I'll be using this to document plenty of wonderful memories while also letting people keep tabs on me.

There was time to relax.

So it's been a while since I've blogged and I'm sorry for that. I have the day off so I'm finally able to post. Every time I would get a chance lately, I'd either be too busy, too tired, or get distracted and forget. I've been working a lot, still training at my restaurant. I've got three more days of training before I have officially earned my ears. But while training seems to go on for a while, it's still really fun. I love the people I'm working with. They are all very nice and funny. It makes working long hours easier.

But besides work, life has been pretty nice. I've really gotten addicted to my Kindle, loving the way I can read so much faster. I don't know if it's just the amount of text on each page or the fact that I'm reading in the morning, on my break, and before bed. I've started reading a new romance novel series about the Malory family. The author is Johanna Lindsey and if anyone is searching for something to read, check it out. It's awesome!! Just try to read it in order. I learned that by reading one out of order and then starting at the beginning. I seem to always find my romance novel series like that. First, the Sherrilyn Kenyon series and now the Malory series by Johanna Lindsey. So for anyone that wants to, I recommend those two series.

So since my last post, I have been working, reading, hanging out with the girls (who are all doing very well), and sleeping. It's fun to be here and the only thing I have to adjust to is the constant rain. Even that doesn't take much adjusting too.

Also, for those who are concerned, Hurricane Irene is not going to hit Orlando so we are all perfectly safe. No worries. All is safe in this fairytale kingdom.

There was a great adventure.

Actually, there were two great adventures, one day after that other!

Yesterday, the adventure was in Disney's Hollywood Studios. South Carolina was working all day long so when Texas came home from work, Florida, Texas, and I all decided to go on an afternoon adventure to the Studios. We got there at about 15:00 (oh yeah, Disney works on military time) and rode a few of the rides and caught a short show as well. Texas rode the Hollywood Tower of Terror for the first time and I think she enjoyed it. She screamed a lot but that's half the fun, right? Getting to scream on a fast ride? I can't imagine riding a high-thrill ride without screaming or laughing. Anyway, the three of us stayed there until about 18:30 before running to Walmart and returning home to our little apartment palace.

Today, Texas and Florida had work so it was just going to be me and South Carolina. We had decided to go on an adventure to the Magic Kingdom! We spent most of the morning relaxing and enjoying the chance to sleep in. We were leaving at about noon and what did we find when we got downstairs? Texas was home! She had been sent home because of confusion over her work place and stuff of that nature. Either way, she ran upstairs and changed before joining our adventure! We got to the parks and started our adventure by coming across a parade! It was so cool. Then we saw a show outside Cinderella's Castle, rode the spinning teacups and Space Mountain, before seeing another parade. After that, we walked around and tried to decide if the lines were worth waiting in for the ride.

When we were done wandering, we made our way down Main Street U.S.A. and looked through some of the shops. Visiting a sweets shop, South Carolina bought a very colorful piece of fudge that looked like Funfetti cake. I got an apple that is covered in chocolate and looks like Minnie Mouse! It's got red sugar and white polka dots, even mouse ears and a bow! After our sweet stop, we went and met three of the princesses. It was Aurora, Belle, and Cinderella again! It was cool to get group pictures with them. I just hope to be one of them someday soon.

Anyway, we got back on the monorail and returned to our apartment. For dinner, we decided to have some fun and go out for something. Up the street is a Lone Star Steakhouse, so we went there for some nice steak and foods we didn't have to cook ourselves. I always find things nicer when I'm not the one cooking them. I don't know why but it always just tastes better that way...

That was the end of the adventure mostly. Now I'm sitting in the living room, watching Tangled with Florida. Texas is watching too while on her computer and South Carolina is on the phone with her boyfriend (I think..). Tomorrow I work from 8:30 to 16:00 and after that, I think Sunday is my next day off... Ugh. Oh well, I'm here to work and have fun. So far, the "having fun" part has been going great. The "work" part... I'll let you know in the next few days.

Here's to a new adventure!

There was a beautiful little cottage in the glen

And that's where I get to work!

Well, except for the fact that it's not really little and it's not a cottage. It's actually a huge lodge! I'm so excited to be working at one of the Walt Disney World resorts by the Magic Kingdom. I had a simple day of training that wasn't too long but still fairly boring. It's important to know all the things they mentioned but it's still not as thrilling as learning the history of the company and seeing characters visit us in class like they did yesterday.

Texas and Florida (I'm going to be calling my roommates by their states for fun) had the morning orientation class and they were up super early. South Carolina and I had the afternoon class so it was nice to sleep in but we also had to deal with the heat. There was a small issue at the beginning but with the help of a few princes-in-training and another girl, it was all taken care of and we got to class, only having to make-up a small 30 minute portion. Mickey stopped by and gave us a nice visit, adding some fun and delight to the long class yesterday.

But anyway, today I had a class on food service and the safety steps and all of the other things I needed to know. I got to sleep in again but I got home and decided to rest. South Carolina and I were going to get groceries tonight but we were both way too tired to leave once we took our shoes off. So now South Carolina is resting and I'm watching Legally Blonde with Texas and Florida. Tomorrow, I have the day off and I have no idea what I'm going to do with myself. Maybe I'll go swimming or work-out at the gym here... I'll decide tomorrow and find out what kind of adventures I can have around here.

So for now, this is all I have to offer at the start of my story. This Oklahoma princess is enjoying her time in Orlando with her roomies South Carolina, Texas, and Florida. I'm also excited for my time and chance to work at the Happiest Place on Earth. My story has just begun and I'm enjoying it already.

In a land far away called Orlando, Florida

So today is the beginning of my time at the Disney College Program. I will be here until January 6th and hopefully, I'll be staying afterwards for employment at the Happiest Place on Earth! I'm soooooooo excited!! It's like a dream come true where Princes and Princesses are real, toys really do come to life, and nothing is impossible with a little imagination.

Anyway, for all of those that wish to know, I am working in one of the Magic Kingdom resorts in the Quick Service Food & Beverage business.... So basically, I'll be working fast food but I'm doing it at Disney so it's okay. I'm going to have a blast! Besides, I'll be auditioning for performances, parades, and other things while I'm down here.

I've moved into my apartment and met my three roommates. They are fantastic! We are going to have so much fun together while we're here. We are from all different places but I can tell that we're going to be great friends and have loads of adventures together. There's a native Floridian, a girl from South Carolina, a Texan, and your dear old Oklahoma princess (that's me!).
Well, there's not a lot for me to say here since today was just moving in, paperwork, and unpacking but in the next five months, I will try to keep everyone updated on the new stories of my personal fairytale life and dreams. Who knows... Maybe there will be a wicked witch, a Prince Charming, or maybe just a bunch of adorable woodland creatures. I guess we'll just have to find out as the story develops in the wonderful world of Disney.

So for all of those who read this, I welcome you to read my story and it begins just like many other stories.

Once Upon A Time....
