There was a beautiful jungle and a tall mountain

Day off #2, spent in the Animal Kingdom.

Florida and I decided to go on an adventure to the Animal Kingdom. South Carolina had to work and Texas was feeling under the weather. So Florida and I arrived at Animal Kingdom around 1:00 pm. We got something to eat because it was starting to rain. We sat out the rain while enjoying our yummy meals. When we were done, we went to Dinoland and rode the Dinosaur ride. I was so scared! Big dinosaurs coming at me with huge teeth and open mouths? Heck no! Being eaten is not on my to-do list!

So after that, we went to ride Expedition Everest (one of my favorite rides on Disney property). However, because of thunder, they had it closed down for a bit to make sure nothing terrible would happen. So while we waited for that to clear up, we went across the park and got on one of the safaris. We got to see some awesome animals like giraffes, lions, hippos, and elephants.

When we finished the safari, we headed back to Everest to see if it was working. We hadn't heard any thunder for a while so we hoped the ride would be operational. We saw the wait was only ten minutes so we rushed inside, going through the line with almost no stopping until the last part. We got on and were put in the back of the car. We rode it and for some reason, it was more intense than I remembered it. When we got off and saw that the wait was still only ten minutes, we jumped right back in line and rode it again! We loved it that much! It was a blast! My heart was pounding so much and I loved it.

Texas had told us about the Festival of the Lion King so we decided to check it out. We were walking towards the show area when we ended up getting stuck behind the ropes of a parade. We stayed to watch and I was shocked to find out that one of the girls on stilts was a friend from my college! She had been a senior my freshman year! She was my Oklahoma sister in the dance department. I was so excited and couldn't believe the wild coincidence. She didn't hear me calling her but I texted her when I got back to the apartment and was so happy!

Anyway, we saw the Festival of the Lion King and it was phenomenal! There were dancers, stilt-walkers, acrobats, singers, and everything under the sun! It was absolutely mind-blowing. I love it so much. If anyone comes to Disney, they need to see it.

After that, Florida and I went home to rest and make dinner for us. The day in the parks had been very exhausting. We decided to watch Tarzan while eating and invited a friend over to watch. He arrived with cookie dough and we finished Tarzan. After he tried to borrow like a third of my movie collection (he then narrowed it down to just a few movies), we put in Oceans Twelve because I have only seen Oceans Eleven. After this movie, I'll probably hop in the shower before heading to bed. I've got a morning shift tomorrow and will need my sleep.

I'll keep things updated on my days off or on days when I have the time and energy to actually post something.
